Remarkable Instarce of Medical Relief!
Below we publish the Certificates oftwoo the su

their former health, and impelled by gratitude;make

and we commend their perusal to the attention of all afflicted:
CRRTIFICATE.
The undersigned, desirous of acquainting those who
may be unfortunate enough to be similarly afflictedwhere a permanent reliefof their sufferings may be obtained, feels it his duty to publiclyexpress his sincere
gratitudeto Dr. L. J. Czapkay, for the permanent reeovery of his health.Borne down by the distressing
symptoms incident tothe vicious habit of uncontrollable
passions in youth, depressed in body and mind, unable
to perform even the most trifling duty imposed upon the
daily avocations of life, I sought the advice of many
physicians, who at first regarded my disease as of trifling importance, but, alas! after a few weeks, and ig
sveral instances, months, of their treatment, I found to
my unutterable horror, that instead of relief the symptoms beeame more alarming in their torture, and being
finally told by one that the disease, being principally
confined te the brain, medicines would be of little conse
quence . despaired ot ever regaining my health, strength
and energy; and asa last resort, ef with but a faint
hope, I called upon Dr. Czapkay. who, after examining
iny case, prescribed some medicine, which almost instantly relieved me of the dull pain and dizziners in my
head. Encouraged by the result, I resolved to place
myself immediately underhis care, and, bya strict
obedience to all his directions and advice, my head became clear, my ideas collected. the constant pain in my
back and groins, the weakness of my limbs, the nervous
reaction of my whole body on the slizhtest alarm or
excitement, the misanthropy and evil forebodings, the
self distrust and want of confidence in others, the incapability to study, and want ¢f resolution, the frightful, exciting, and at times, pleasurable dreams at night
fellowed by involuntary disharges, have all disappeared,
and, infact, int *o months after having consulted the
Doctor, I felt as if inspired by a new life—that lifo
which a short time ago, I contemplated to end with my
own hand,
With a view toguardthe anfortunate from falling
into the snares of incompetent quacks, I deem it my duty
to offer thistestimony to the merits and skill of Dr.
Czapkay. and recommend him to all who may stand in
need of medical advice, being assured by his own experience that, once under his care a radical and per manent cure can be effected.

Canv.--Prompted by an honest desire of my heart, J
wish to lay before the pubhe a case which deserves a
commendation, not only a3 an Act of scientfic skill but that
of humanicy also. About two years ago, I suddenly and
from causes unknewntome, was seized with a fit of ep
ilepsy. which, owing to my inability to meet the expen
ses consequent npon a thorough medical treatment, and
the cisecouragement which I met with on attempting it,
soon became uch (as T was then led tofbelieve) as to defy
the skillofany physician, I was frequently, while in
pursuit ofmy calling, thrown down to the ground withont the least warning ; and althongh insensible to the agonies, I yet despised the miseries of my life, and soon
learned to look upon those who would render assistance
or shelter me from danger, as eneimes who sought to
prolong the existence of my miseries. While in this
state and having, previous to my affliction, tasted the
sweets of life, . once more wasindneed to attempt seek
nz aid of a physician, and by recommendation, ealled
upon Dr. Czapkay, . told him of my circumstances ando
my in«bility to reward him for services—regardless of
which, however, heat once undertook my case, and with
the blessing of God, I was once more restored to perfect
health. Unable to reward him for the boon which I
enjoy at present, and yet conscious of my indebtedness,
I consider it due to myself and all afilieted, to make the
case public, in order that those in need of medical adviee
may tind a physician in whom every confidence can be
placed.
