FOR MAKING LIQUORS, Lacour’s Oils require no
preparation—only pour the oil inte the Whiskey and
shake well. The Liquors thus made will have a fine natural aroma, a full, rich, oily taste : a beautiful trans

tinct properties in converting common whisky to brandy

in the form of floculent particles the whole of the crain

that peculiar irritating and burning taste, and becomes
a neutral spirit; the second property consists in an oily
mucillaginous taste imparted to the liquor, which renders it mellow, andimparts an appearance of great age ;
the third property is exhibited in the rich vinous nutty

BARBIER’S GRAPE GINGER WINE.
BARBIER’S MEDICATED AROMATIC
BARBIEK has justreceived from Europe, a Dise tilling apparatus, on a new and improyed system,
expressly for the preparation of
Ginger Wine and Aromatic Schnapps.
It has been in operation since the beginging of this
month, and works admirably.
Its improvements are to exclude all Resinous non-volatile matter, hurtful to beaith, from all liquids as well as to
deprive them of their intoxicating nature, thi ereby mecting the requirements of Temperance.
To those who have not used A. Barbier's Preparations,
we would say that Barbier's Ginger Wine i Tonic, Invigorating and Aperitive, and especially adapted for family use.
“Giuger is its sole Base and A. Barbier w juld scorn to
offer as Ginger Wine a compound of Essencp of Cinnamon, Cloves, Lemon and Cayenne Pepper. forming a
Mixture which bas been persistently advert}sed as Ginger Wine in California, and the other States! of the Union, but wuich, névertheless, cannot deceive Analysis,
