[oF Let no false delicacy prevent the invalid from
seeking medical relief—the card of L. J. Czapkay, to be
found in another column, indicates where to obtaina reiable and competent physician. It is seldom that we are
called upon to bear testimony in favor cf the skill of any
physician, but a sense of duty as well as justice demands
. that we should not pass Dr. Czapkay by, without something more than a mere mention. Unlike the greater
portion of those who thrust themselves and their nos
trums before the public, whose practiees are empirical
Dr. Czapkay is a gentleman of rare medical and scientific attainments, having held the position of chief
surgeon of the liberating army during the late Hungarian Revolution, and is possessed of all the requisite
experience and skill for the successful practice of his
profession. Itis to the care and advice of such a physician we would commend all suffering from the effects
of sexualor private disease, felling assured that in all
such complaints, whether arising from infection, indiscretion, self-abuse, or loss of virility, he can guarantee,
from his extensive practice, a speedy and permanent
cure. To those suffering from the effects of physical
and mental debility, we would say, let common sense
. take the ; lace of false modesty, and seek such advice as
will save you from an untimely grave, and lead you back
again to pristine health, consult Dr. Czapkay, whom we
cheerfully endorse as a skillful and tried physican, capa. ble of copiug with and successfully feradicating those
self-inflicted miseries, the evils of empirical practices
and all diseases of a seminal nature. Dr. Czapkay’s
rooms are on Sacramento street, opposite Pacifie Mail
Steamship office, San Francisco.

Messrs Seth W. Fowle & Co.—Gentlemen :—Please
send by Express, another Box of Oxygenated Bitters, as

has derived more advantage from it than from ali other

Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry.
CONSUMPTION CURED.
San Francisco, Nov. 10th, 1856.
Messrs, PARK & Wuite—Gents :—It is with pleasure
I assure you, that I am able to add my testimony in faVor of Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry. For overa
year I have been afflicted with a cough and pain in my
side and breast, which originated with acold. I had
taken Cherry Pectoral, Jaynes’ Expectorant, Cod Liver
Oil, and many other popular patent medicines of the
day—also spent over one hundred dollars with ou r phy
sicians. But all proved of no beneficial effect. Read
ing your almanac of 1855, I was induced to try you
Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry. I was, at the time
commenced using it, laboring with every symptom oI
consumption of the lungs. I found, that after using one
bottle, it gave me relief, and as I considered my case a
hardone, I sent to your store and bought half a dozen
bottles ; and snffice it tosay, before I had taken it all, I
was well. I must say, that it ared to reach the
very place affected, in which all other medicines failed.
I am now in full enjoyment of good health, believing,
. that had I not made use of your truly valuable Balsam
of Wild Cherry, I should now have been past recovery,
if not dead.
I shall always take pleasare in recommending to
those who are afflicted with coughs, colds, difficult
. breathing, pain in the side. or any lung diseases, your
Balsam of Wild Cherry, with the signature you advertise, “Sanford & Park, Cincinnati, Ohio,” asI am in—— there is an imitation put up with some other signature. espectfully yours,
DAVID ALLCUT.
& Beware or Base ImitaTIons! £6
As there are quite a number of Counterfeit articles
bearing the name of Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry,
purporting to be the “Genuine and Originsl,’’ we therefore deem it necessary for the public ‘= to Cautionall
. persons who purchase the Balsam of Wild Cherry, to
. look well at the Signature before buying. The “Genu. ine Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry,?? has a FAC SIMILE
