burn. Trial of the right to certain mining
claims—Isoa’d et al
on Thursday last—the first jury being
unable to agree. The claims in controversy were purchased by the plaintiffs of.
Rochford & Co. the original locators and
former proprietors and a day or two subsequently the defendent entered upon the’
claims, under a plea that Rochford & Co.
had failed during their occupancy to cons
form with the mining laws of Mancenita
District in which the claims are situated.
The real question upon which the case
turned, was whether the plaintiffs’ ground
was liable to be re-located by the defendent
prior to the expiration of t en days, from
