for it was so great—its merits so astonishing, that in less
than one year from its introdnetien it had supplanted all
thbr remedtes. The Medieal Faculty of the principal
ities of Europe were compelled te acknowleuge its wonlerful mastery over every one else. Proprietors of other
Medicine, jealous of its sway vainly endeavored to stay its

sweeping all before it, its onward march became trium.

The number of cures it has already made are astonish.

Constitutional Debility, or Eminal Weakness.—lic.
Young addresses those who have injured themselves by .
private or improper indulgences in that secret and solitary habit which ruins the body and mind, unfitting them
for either business or society. The following are some .
of the sad and melancholy effects produced by early habits
of youth, viz: Weakness of the Back and Limbs, pain in
the head, dimness of eight, loss of muscular powe:, palpitatton of the heart, dyspepsia, nervousness, irratability,
. derangement of the digestive functions, general debility,
. symptoms vf consumption. &c.
MenTatty the fearful effects on the mind are more to
be dreaded. Loss of Memory, confusion of Ideas, depreasion of Spirits. evil forbodings. aversion to society, selfdsstrust, love of solitude, timidity, &c, are some of the
evils produced,
All persons who are afflicted with any of the above
symptoms should not fail to call on Dr, Young, and be at
once restored to perfect health. Let no false delicacy
prevent you, but apply immediately, and save ycurself
from the dreadful and awful consequeuces of this terrible

PUERE is no malady of deeper importance, either ina
medical or moral poim of view, to which the human
family is more liable than that arising from impure connections.
As a Medical man it is the duty of every physician to
look at disease as it affects health and life. and his sole
object should be to mitigate, as far as lies in his power,
the bodily suffering. Human nature at best is but frail,
all are liable to misfortune.
Of all the ills that affect man none are more terrible
than those of a private nature. Dreadful as it is in the
rene who contracis it, frighiful as are its ravages upon
is constitution. ending frequently in destruction anda
loathsome grave, it becomes of still greater importance
when it is transmitted to innocent offspring. Such being
the case how necessary it becomes that every one having
the least reason to fear that they have contracted the
disease. should attend to it at once by consulting some
physician, whose respectability and education enables
him to warrant a safe. speedy, and permanent cure. In
accordance with this necessity, OR. YOUNG feels called
upon to state that, by long study and extensive practice.
he has become perfect master of all those diseases which
come under the denomination of venereal. and having
paid more attention to that-one branch than any other
physician in the United States, he feels himself bettar
qualified to treat them,

Postules, &c. are as familiar to him as the most common things of daily observation.
The Doctor effeots a cure in recent cases in a few days,
and finds no difficulty in curing those of long duration,
without submitting the patient to such treatment as will
draw upon him the slightest suspicion, or oblige him to
neglect his cus‘ness, whether within doors or without.—
The diet need not be changed, except in cases of severe
inflamation. Thero are in California patients (amounting
to over two thousand in the past year.) that could furnish
proof of this; but these are matters that require the utmost secrecy, which he alwvys preserves.

Dear Sir—I have not had a single fit since I commenced
taking your medicines; 1 am also gaining strength every
day. The trouble that I had, which was the cause of the
fits, is also leaving me very fast. In fact, I think ] am en
tirely well, but if you think it best, I will take medicinesa short time longer. It is only about two months since I
commenced taking your prescriptions, and although you
told me it would take from three to four months, yet I
feel perfectly well already. I feel sorry that I did not
visit you at first, and not allow myself to be led away by

; Thanks to your superior medical skill, Iam beyond danger, and I shall always consider you the savior of my life.
Dear Dr. publish this if you consider it worth your while

R.J. C. YOUNG, DEAR SIR—Please send me some

that Iwas. Ie has nightly emissions, ringing noise in
his head, weak back, loss of memory, and is generally
debilitated; he is discouraged and has not confidence
enough to enable him to call and see you. [ told him
how I was, and that my friends all said I was in consumption, and the doctors up here gave me upand advised me
to go home and die, butinstead of going home 1 called
upon you and here 1 am as well as any of them and iikely to live a long time yet, with strength enough to work
with the strongest ofthem. Doctor I will send every one
to you that locks to me as though he needed a physician.
It shall not be my fault if any one dies for wan. of medical treatment. . will do all Icanto keep the afflicted

by them all given up as incurable; but being advised by a
friend who had been benefitted by your scientific treatment to call upon you, I did so. and feei grateful to him
for the information, but still more thankfull to you for the

R. J. C. YOUNG—Dear Sir: Words cannot express
the gratitude I feel is due to you fo 1the benefit 1 have
received from your truly invaluable course of treatment
of my case while prescribeing forme. 1! think I cannot
justify myself without giving this small token of my
thankfulness and esteem, for you have been the means of
saving my life, and restoring to me that haalth which I
had so long despaired of again enjoying. I had fora long
time (four years) been troubled with that most dreadful
scourage of yound people, seminal weakness or nocturnal
emissions which so weakened me both body and mind.
that I was obliged to give up mining altogether. I consulted one of the best physicians (so called, )in the mountain districts, and after a careful examination of my case.
he gave me medicines. I continued under his treatment
for three months without receiving any benefit, in fact I
grew worse from week to week, until at last I got discouraged and asked him for his opinion. I teld him not to
fear to tell me the whole truth, for Ishould rather know
the worst atonce, than tolive in suspence. I had lost
about thirty pounds of flesh, and knew that he at least
could not cure, me and as I was then going on, death must
soon count me as one of its victims. This physician then
told me that case was incurable; that I had better not take
any more medicines. He said 1 was ina decline which
was fast tending to pulmonary consumption.
I then desired of obtaining any relief, and saw that
unless something was done to mitigate the complaint that
[ should be numbered with the dead, or what is worse. be
araving maniac. Happening to see one of your books,
the Pocket “sculapius.{ made up my mind at once to
calland consult you with the determination of trying once
more to get relief if you would undertake the case. Oh.
how thanktull am for that determination! I commencet
taking the medicines prescribed by you andIam now,
through their healing powers, restored to perfect health.
i shall not fall to recommend you to any of my friends
that require assistance, fora man thatcan cure a case as
bad as mine was can cure every disease that flesh is heir
