Dr. Young addresses those who have injured themselves by private and impreper indulgenee in that secret

are some of the sad and melancholy eifects produced by
early habits ef youth, viz: Weakuess of the back and

power, palpitation of the heart, dyspepsia, nervousness,
irritability, derangement of the digestive funetions, general debility, symptons of consumption, &e.
MENTALLY the fearful effects on the mind are more to

Important
O Miners, Travellers, Etc. There is no malady of
deeper importance, either in a medical or moral point
of view, to which the human family is more liable than
that arising from impure connections.
As a medical man it is the duty of every physician to
look at diseases as it affects health and life, and his sole
object should be to mitigate, as far as lies in his power,
the bodily suffering. Human narisc at best is but frail,
all are liable to misfortune.
Of all the ills that affeet man none are more terrible
than those of a private nature. Dreadful as itis in the
+ person who contracts it, frightful as are its ravages upen
his constitution, ending frequently in destruction and a
loathsome grave, it becomes of still greater importance
when it is transmitted to innocent offspring. Such being
the case hew necessary it becomes that every one having
the least reason to fear that they have contracted the dis
ease, should attend to it once by co; ting some physician, whose respectability and education enables hin to
warrant a safe, speedy and permanent cure. In accord:
ance with this necessity, Dr. Young feels called upon to
state that, by long study and extensive practice, he has
become perfect waster of all these diseases which come
under the denomination of venereal, and Having paid
more attention to that one branch than any othercian in the United States, he feels himself better qua
to treat them. .

Dear Sir—I have not had one single fit since I
commenced taking your medicines; Iam also gaining
strength every day. The trouble. that I had, which was
the cause of the fits is also leaving me very fast. In fact,
I think I am entirely well, but if you think best, 1 will
take medicines a short time louger. It is only about two
months since I commenced taking your pre cripsions, and
although you told me it would take from three to four
months, yet I feel perfectly well already. 1 feel sorry that
I did not visit you at first, and not ailow myself to be led

style of business, and thereby impose npon the public.—
They despoiled me of my money, and if I had not stopped taking their vile stuff, they would have robbed me of

“A CARD.
PRomPTED by an honest desire of ny heart, I wish to
lay before the publie a case which deserves a light commendation, not only as an act of scientific skill, but that
of humanity, also. About two years ago, I suddenly and
from causes unknown to me, was seiZed with a fit of Epilepsy, which owing to my inabilit to meet the expenses
consequent apon a thorough me‘lical treatment, and the
discouragement which I met with on attempting it. soon
bebome such (as I was then led to believe,) as to defy the
skillofa physician. Iwas frequently, while in pursnito
my calling, thrown down to the ground without the slightest warning, and although insensible te the agonies, I yet
despised the miseries of my life, and soon learned to look
upon those who would render me assistance or shelter me
from dauger as enemies who sought to prolong the mise ry
of my existence. While in this State, and having previous to my afflictions tasted the sweets of life, Lonee
more was induced to attempt seeking aid of a physician,
and, oo ealled on Dr. L. J. Czapkay. 1
told him my circumstances, and ny to reward

conscieus of my indebtedness, Iconsider it due to myself
and to ail afflicted, to make the case public, in order that
those in need of medicel advice may find a physician in
whom every coufidence can be
