PorTLanb, Oregon, May 15, 1855.
Dr. Czapkay—sir.Your medicine has been taken according to direction. I teel alittle weak yet;
in every other way I am almost entirely recovered,
and think in a short time I shal! be as well as ever.
Ever; body that knows me is wondering what made
such a change, for some friends thought I had consumption, and others said . was going crazy. Well
I don't know but they were both right, as I felta
good deal both ways, and thought if I didn’t die
soon I would like to. [am not troubled any more
with omissions, and the pain in my head aud back
end the weakness in my limbs have left me, and so
bas the dizziness, timidity and the wish always to
be alone,1 am not afraid to go in company now
and am not so easily scared as . used to be, when
any little thing would sct me trembling. I have
been at work this week, which is the first I have
done for six months, and the thought of it don’t discourage me like it used to. Indeed, I feel like
another man, and it is ail owing to your medicine
and advice. You may publish this if you want to.
Yoars, &e., JOSEPH RATH.
Sacramento, May 15, 1855.
Dear Sir—Such is the thankfulness I feel for the
preservation of my health of body and mind, and I
helieve of my life, that I hope [ will not be considered intrusive in tendering my thankfu! acknowlsdgements for restoring me to health, and making
my life a boon worth preserving, when it had become u burthen too great for meto bear. Victim
asl was to vice that had nodermined my constitution, and developed a train of nervous symptoms,
euch as nervous debility, headache, distressing
timidity, self-distrust, dizziness, love of solitude,
loss of memory and want of resolution, besides a
loss of strength and energy, which hac made my
waking movements wretched and my sleep unrefreshing, and was fast bringing me to the grave; }
but thanks to your skill 1 am restored to health, }
vigor and energy. Hoping to guide others where \
they may find relief, you have my permission tot .
make this public. .
Gratetully yours, LEONARD WAITE

Marysville, June 3, 1855.
Dr. L. J. Czapkay. San Francisco—Sir—I have
used the last of your medicine, and do not thik .
shall need avy mure as I feel very well, except that
Ihave not entirely got my strength yet, but soon
will with thezppetite that I have. it is Just three
weeks, you may recollect, since I called at your
Tustitute, with my constitution, as . thought entirely
broken, and never thought you would be able to
cure me perfectly, but thought you might be, able
to do something to ease the pain in my back and
head and strengthen my limbe, which were 30
weak that they would almost give way under me
when I waiked, and to strengthen my nerves so
that I would not get excited and tremble at every
little thing. Now that you know what . expected
youmay judge ofmy satisfaction at my complete
recovery from those symptoms, and the removal of
those spictches and sores from my skin, and the
ulcers from my throat, end the entire stoppaga of
those emissions, which you said were principaily
the cause of my sickness.

Syphilis and Gonorrhoea.—Dr. L. J. Czapkay’s
extraoidinary success in the treatment of Syphilitic
and Gonorrhea! diseases inthe primary and other
stages, induces him to call public attention to the
fact that of the creat numbers who have made daily

of treatment of these maladies, combines the improvements made by the medical faculty, with
discoveries of his own that are unxnown te any
ene else, aud which, when applied, prevent the
possibility of evil afterconsequences.
Secondary Syphilis, which is so destructive of .
health, producing ulcerations of the throat, destroying the soft parts, and leaving the benes exposed,
which mortify, separate, and come away, disfiguring the sufferer most borridly, as well as impair
ing his general health, and predisposing to consumption, the Dr. treats in the most certain and .
efficient manner. Also Buboes, painful swellings .

The Dr. would especially cali the attention of
those who hove failed to obtain relief from others,
many of whom he bas already cured, und many are

Capt. R. Meakin, of the ship Eureka, says :
“Your elixir seemed to reanimate me, and rfter months
of wenkness and imbecility, caused by excess and indulgence, it seemed to renew the poetry und exuberance of
youth.”
A lady writing, exclaims :
“You may well call your elixir a blessed remedy ; it has
been indeed so to me, for from an indefinable weukness,
suffered for months, it has given me strength, spirits and

Rev. James Brewster. oi Nevada, says :
“Three wretched Miners, Iast week. tried Dr. Webber’s .
