Defining and establishing the bounda. ries of the City and its five Wards: The Common Council of the City ot Nevada do ordain as follows: Sec. 1.—The boundaries of the City of Nevada shall be and are hereby established from the site of the store of Truex & Blackman, as follows, to wit: The northern boundary line shall be one mile and a half due north. The southern boundary line shall be one mile and a half due south. Tie eastern boundary line shall be one mile due east; and the western boundary line shall be two miles due west from said site in conformity with a plat as surveyed by J. 8. Brodie under the instructions and authority of the common council. Sec. 2.—The City of Nevada shall be and is hereby divided into five Wards, as follows, to wit: Ward Ist, shall comprise that portion of the City embraced within the following limits, namely, to wit: Cozmencing at the intersection of the south bank of Little Deer Oreek with the eastern boundary line of the city, and following westerly said south bank of Little Deer Creek to the bridge at the foot of Main street; thenee continuing westerly along the south bank of Great Deer Creek to its intersection with the west boundary line of the city, thence southerly along the west boundary line of the city to its junction with the south boundary line; thence easterly along the south boundary line to its junction with the east boundary line, thence northerly along the east boundary line to the place of commencement. Ward 2d, shall comprise that portion of the city embraced in the following limits, namely: . Commencing on the South bank of . Little Deer creek at the bridge at the foot of Main street, and following . northerly the west side of main street . ,0 the northeast corner of the store of + H. Sec. 3d.—A city Surveyor shall be chosen by the common council on the passage of this ordinance, whose duty it shall be as soon as practicable, to define the aforesaid boundaries of the city, and limits of the five wards, by suitable and permanent land marks; he shall also furnish the common council with an accurate plan of the said boundaries of the city and limits of its wards, and perform such other pro. fessional duties as may be required by jthe common council for which serviees well and truly performed, he shall receive such compensation as may i hereafter be prescribed. The common council of the city of Nevada do ordain as follows: Sec, 1. That the ordinance entitled an ordinance respecting a ravine west lof Main street, be repeealed and si . heraby repealed. Sec. 2. The. committee on streets jare hereby authorized to contract with . some person or persons for a sum not ding six hundred dollars, to turn the water from said ravine by a ditch or sluice from its present course into the ravine known by the name Roger William’s ravine, at a point to be approved by the committee.
