Metropolitan Theater, building near completion, Main St 8-6-1858 Metropolitan Theater, just above the Union Hotel on Main St. was opened Sept 16, 1858, and burned in fire of 1863. Location of Metropolitan Theater: George Jacobs in his memories in the Morning Miner Jan 26, 1904, stated the theater was opposite what is now "The Antlers Hotel" on Main St. Metropolitan Theater, 20 & 22 Main St NC (1861 Directory) NEVADA JOURNAL March 5, 1861: Metropolitan Theater sold to Frank Guild by Geo Pierce, E.G. Waite & N.P. Brown.
