He would call the attention of the afflicted to the . feet of his Jong standing and well earned reputation, . furni . cexs, Upwards of five thousand cases have been discharged cured in the year ending July Ist, 1560, showing a record surpassing any hospital in the United States Const tation, by letter or otherwise, FREE. — wivately, and with the atmost confidence by . shing sufficient assurance of his skill and suc. Caution to the Public. Every intelligent and thinking person must know that remedies handed out for genera) use should have their efficacy established by well tested experience in the hands of a regularly educated physii cian, whose preparatory study fits him for all the duties he must fulfill; yet the country ix flooded with . poor noxtrums and cure-allx, purporting to be the best in the world, which are net only useless, but always injurious, The unfortunate should be PaRTICULAR in selecting his physician, as it is a lamentable vet incontrovertible fact that many syphilitic patients are made miserable with ruined constitutions by mal-treatment frova inexperienced physicians in general practice; for it is a pint generally conceded by the best syphilographers, that the study and management ofthese complaints should engrosa the whole time of these who would be competent and successful lin their treatment and cure. The inexperienced general practitioner, having neither opportunity nor . time to make himself sufficiently acquainted with that antiquated and dangerous weapon, mercury. More caution, however, should be used by thesyphilitie patient, in cousulting nominal physicians of the advertising ciass, as nine-tenths of them are imposters, whe assume German, French, or other . names, and are without any claims to medical knuwledge. These knavish rascals infest all large cities, and, by means of their lying advertisements and pos. ters, they induce the unwary to enter their Peter . Funk “institutions,” and unmereifully fleece them . and poison them with mercury. Persons living at a . distance in the eountry are more apt to be duped by the lying notices of quacks than citizens. In’ view of the above faets, Dr. J. €. YOUNG would say that he is the only regularly educated physician in Catifornia now advertising, who devotes his whole time to the treatment of venereal diseases. Office, 751 Clay street. opposite the Plaza. Hours from 9 4, M., to 8. ™. — —— HAVE CONFIDENCE. DR. YOUNG will guarantee a perfect and perma. nent cure in the following cases, or he charges noth. ing for his services: Syphilis, Gonoerrhoea, Stricture l ofthe Urethra, Affection of the Prostrate Gland, Weakness of the Genital Organs, Impotency, Sterili. ty, both in the male and female, Spermatoria, or . Seminal Weakness, Noetaral Emissions, Rheuma . tism. Dyspepsia, indigestion, Fever and Ague, Incip‘ient Consumption, and alll Irregularities in Females, . together with all diseases of Wormen and Children; . also, Nervousness, Palpitation of the Heart, ete. Persons afflicted with symptoms after being treated should consult Dr, Young at omee, as no disease is cured unless the patient feels pertectly well. If there is a particle of disease left im the system it will break out some future time, whem least expected, or be handed down to an innocent offspring. Persons who have been treated with merewry should be very cautsons in believing that they are well, for it isa . scientific fact thatt he mereury will mingle with the . venereal, and form a disease a great deal worse than . the original. All those who have reason to think, by bad feelings, that they have been treated thus, shew consult Dr. Young, and he will examine their . cases and tell them at onee how they stand, —— i TAKE COURAGE—NEVER DESPAIR, Nenson Creek, Sept. 30, 1861. } } .
