ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF
THE GRASS VALLEY AMATEUR ADELETIC CLUB.
Know all Men by These Presents:
That, we, the undersiened, all of whom are citizens and
residents of the State of California, have this day associated
ourselves voluntarily together for the purposes of forming 2&
corporation under the laws of the State of California,
4nd we Hereby Certify:First. That the name of the corporation shall be The Grass
Valley Amateur Athletic Club.
Second: That the vurvoses for which it is formed are to
encourage, vromote and hold amateur, athletic contests; and to
promote and encourage the sport and recreation of its membeks;
to hold, purchase and acouire, buy and sell, lease and mortgage
and hyvothecate real and personal proverty; to erect or leasé
buildings, or other structures necessary and proper for the
carrying out of the purposes before mentioned; and generally to
do enc perform all other acts or things necessary or incidental
to the purooses sbove set forth.
Third. That the place where the principal pusiness of said
corporation is to be transacted is Grass Valley, Nevada County,
Californie.
Fourth. That the term for which said corporation is to
exist is twenty-five years from and after the date of its incorooration.
Fifth. That the number of directors of said corporation
shall be three and that the names and residences of the directors or trusteesvwho are anpointed for the first year and to serve
until the election and cualification of such officers are as
