Pecaatonae “NEVADA DEMOCRAT. OS ————————————————————————— ~PBonersnies.—During the past week the burgiars have made a number of nocturnal visits in this place. ‘The house of Judge Searls has peen entered twice. The first time, was about three o’clock last Wednesday morning. The Judge being awakened by the noise came out jato the entry, when he could distinctly hear some one ,breathing hard at the head of the stairs. After listening a moment oneof the robbers, who had a mask over his face, came down far enough to be seen by the Judge, when he said, “if you will go backin your room we will leave.” As the Judge’s pistol was not loaded, he accepted the compromise, and the robbers took their departure. During the same night the houses of Mr. Wm. Davis and Mr. Hartman, who live not far from Judge Searle, were entered, but the burglars got nothing of much value. The inmates of Mr. Davis’ house were awakened by the noise, and Mrs, Davis saw four men leaving the premises. They carried off a pair off boots and a trunk from the house of Mr. Hartman. The trunk was found the next morning, the contents having been overhauled anda specimen pin taken. The house of Judge Searls was again entered on Saturday night. The Judge was awakened by the noise, and taking his pistol, which was loaded this time, went to the front door, but the burglar had doubtless heard the noise and made tracks. He carried off an overcoat anda cane, belonging to the Judge, which had been left in the entry. Masonic.—The following gentlemen have been elected and installed as officers of Madison Lodge No. 23, F. & A. M., at Grass Valley: E. McLaughlin, W. M.; A. B. Brady, S. W.; B. B. Smaile, J. W.; J.J. McA LLIL.IsTER’s ALLHEALING OINTMENT, OR WORLD'S SALVE, Combines in sueh an eminent degree all the Healing, Curative, Soothing and Extracting Qualities, Known to medical science, that physicians, families and medical men are gratified and astonished at its results. Ee Herero It almost immediately extracts the pain, and heals the wound without a scar. When applied to any Swelling, Sore, Chilblain, Poison, Burn, Skin Eruption, Itch, &e., Its effects are magical. McAllister’s All-Healing Ointment Is truly a Family Medicine, which cannot be well dispensed with. The estimation in which this article is held in some sections of the country is such, that parents would not retire at night without some of it in the house, Dear Sir :—In December, 1850, I passed through a very virulent attack of shall-pox, leaving me covered with eruptions, and one eye entirely closed. In three days from the time I commenced using your ointment I was entirely cured, and not a pit or scar can now be seen on my body As my case wasa very remarkable one, it affords me pleasure in informing others of what McAllister’s Ointment will do. Very respectfully yours, o. crm, 194 Jay street, Brooklyn. I hereby certify that I have been effectually cuted of severe piles of long standing by the use of McAllister’s AllHealing Ointment. The cure was entirely effected by less than six boxes. I have paid different physicians more than $100. Everybody ought to know about this ointment Truly Yours, ZENAS COVEL, Pastor M. E.
