It has a braneli bouse in Liverpool, with a loca) partner. Its only agentin the United States is Mr. Samuel G. Ward, of Boston. The following statement is made in the sketch of Lord Ashburton; With the exception of a short period under Gen. I have stated my objections to this bill, and I shall vote against it, 1 believe itis an unfair measure; it is calculated to arose a bitter and indignant prejudice in the minds of the people of the North, and I think it will reeult in no goed to the South. The water being too high to permit miners to work to advantage, he returned to California, but intends to leave again for Frazer River about the 1st of August, when be expects the water will be low enough to permit bars to be worked, From letters published in the same paper, we make the following extracts : A German at Victoria, has very recently returned from the mines, who states that he was gua route, ticket for the steemer of the 5th of May, but negleoted to get on board in time, Ricu Diaaines.—The Oroville Advertiser learns that very rich diggings have recently been discovered at a place enlled Eagleville, im Butte county, about two miles above Strawberry Valley.
