KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That we, the undersigned, a majority of whom are cit-—
izens ana residents of the State of California, have this day
volmtarily associated ourselves together for the purpose of
forming . CORPORATION, tnder the laws of the STATE OF CALIFORNIA. AND WE HEREBY CERTIFY,
FIRST. That the name of said corporation shall be
GRASS VALLEY GOLD EXTRACTING COMPANY,
SECOND, That the purposes for which it is formed are
to buy, sell, and mine ores, bullion and precious metals;
to reduce ores and extract metals therefrom; to separate
and refine gold, silver and other metals; to mannfactute and
sell paints; ana generally to conduct the business of re—
agucing, separating and refining ores and bullion in the
State of California, and elsewhere.
THIRD. That the place where the vrincipal business
of said Corporation is to be transacted is at Grass Valley,
in Nevadaga County, California.
FOURTH, That the term for which said corporation is
to exist is fifty (50) years, from and after the date of its
incorporation,
FIFTH, That the number of Directors of said Corpora-—
tion shall be five,and that the names and residences of the
Directors who are appointed for the first year,and to serve
mtil the election and yualification of such officers, are
as follows, to-wit:
