Tux Smatt Pox.—A gentleman just up
from San Francisco informs ue that there
are now probably not less than fifteen huadred.cases of small pox in that city. No
one estimates the number at less than a
thousand, We learn that there are also a
great many casesin Sacramento and Marysville. Several persons bave died of the
disease in the latter city. Only one or two
eases have yet occurred in Nevada county,
but the disease is raging to a greater or
less extent over the whole State, and we
eannot expect to entirely escape it. Every
precaution should be taken to prevent its
ravages;. parents should see to it that their
ebildren are vaccinated, and grown persons, who have onee been vaccinated, in
order to make assurance double sure,
ehould be vaccinated again.
