It is manufactared to a large extent in Waterbury, Connecticat, It bears a very close resemblance to gold in color, deusity, and fineness of gre n 80 close that it deceives every one ut practical dealers or experts. Its component parts consist of pure copper, 100 parts ;zicc, or preferably tin, 17 parts, magnesia, 6 parts ; sal ammonia, 3.6 parts ; quicklime, 1.8 parts ; tartar of commerce, 9 parts ; are mixed as follows : The copper is first melted, when the magnesia, sal ammonia, lime and tartar, io powder, are added little by litule ; the crucible is now briskly stirred for half an bour, 60 a8 to thoroughly mix ; and then the zinc is added in small grains, by throwing it on the surface and stirring it until it is entirely fasea ; the crucible is then covered and the fusion maintained for about thirty-five minutes. The surface is then skimmed, and the alloy is ready for casting. The fineness of grain in this alloy, gives to those objects of art composed of it a deliof all the doings of the secessionists yet, is the debasing of the coin at the miat in New Orleans. It is now ascertained upon the most undoubted cpg ee that large quantities of silver coin, bearing the similitude of the coinage of the United States, are being daily strack off, and put into circulation. It matters not from what cause the disease originated, however long standing or obstinate the case, recovery is certain, and in a shorter time than . a permanent cure can be etfected by any other treatiment, even after the disease has baflled the skill of eminent physicians and resisted all their means of cure. The medicines prescribed are pleasant, with. out odor, entirely vegetable, causing no sickness, and free from mercury or balsam, Daring fifleen years of practice, in Europe, the Atlantic States, and California, I have rescued from the jaws of death many thousands, who, ia the last stages of the above men tioned diseases, had been given up to die by their physicians, which warrants me in promising to the affiicted, who may place themselves under my care, @ perfect and speedy cure. TVrivate diseases are the greatest enemies to health, as they are the first cause of Consumption, Scrofula, and many other diseases, and should be a terror to the human family. A permanent cure is scarcely ever effected, a majority of the cases falling into the hands of incompetent persons, who not only fail to cure the disease, but ruin the constitution, filling the system with mercury, which, with the disease, hastens the sufferer into a rapid consumption. But should the disease and the treatment not cause death speedily, and the victim marries, the disease is entailed upon the children, who are born with feeble constitutions, and the current of life corrupted by a virus, which betrays itself in scrofula, tetter, ulcers, eruptions, and other affections of the skin, eyes, throat and lungs, entailing upon them a brief existance of suffering, and consigning them to an early rave. . Sxunr-Anvse is another formidable enemy to health, for nothing else in the dread catalogue of human diseases causes 80 destructive a drain upon the system, drawing its thousands of victims, through a few years of suffering, down to an untimely grave. It destroys the nervous system, ra eed wastes away the energies of life, causes menta derangement, prevents the proper developement of the system, disqualifies for marriage, society, business, and all earthly happiness. and leaves the sufferer wrecked in body and mind, predisposed to consumption, and a train of evils more to be dreaded than death itself, With the fullest confidence I assure the unfortunate victims of Self-abuse, that a permanent and speedy cure can be effected, and with the abandonment of ruinous practices my patients can be restored to robust, vigorous health. Irregelarities, and all diseases of males and females, treated on principles established by fifteen years of practice, and sanctioned by thousands of the most remarkable cures.
