Character defining features of the commercial building include its rectangular massing, stepped parapet front, multi-pane sash window an the left of a front lighted entry door followed by another similar entry door and a large fixed pane window. The building sits on the left or west side of a large parcel that includes several non-contributing contemporary residences or rentals. In 1873 the property was owned by Eig Cheng, Tin Tie, San Tong Hing, and Sam Wo. The building was previously used as an upholstery shop. Original site of Chinese gardens.
