Other Locational Data: The subject property is located on the east side of Pleasant Street. *P3a. Description: The property consists of a two-story, wood-frame, Queen Anne style residence. Character defining features of the residence include its asymmetric fenestration, complex gable and hipped roof, full two-story bay window with a pediment above the bay that includes a1 over 1 light sash window, 1 over 1 light wood-sash windows throughout the remainder of the house that include a decorative trim on the base of each window, a wrap-around front porch with turned wood Victorian columns with fret-sawn brackets and Eastlake style railing, a gablet over the front porch entrance, a side (right) facing full two-stary bay, horizontal wood shiplap exterior siding, and a wooden Victorian front entry door with Victorian wood screen door and transom window above the door. The lot includes a single-car wood-frame gabled garage to the right of the house. James Rowe acquired the parcel in 1900 as a wedding gift from his father Joel Rowe. It was part of two-acre parcel that extended east along Neal Street. The three adjacent Rowe houses were built close together and used the same driveway for access.
