Description: The property consists of a single-story, wood-frame, Late Victorian residence that fronts Walsh Street. Character defining features of the home include a moderately steep gable roof, narrow, front gable design, closed front gable accented by decorative brackets below the roof eaves set atop a plain frieze, geometric wood shingles in the gable end, a 2 over 2 light wood-sash attic window, a extended roof front porch featuring Doric style wood columns and wood turned balustrades, 1 over 1 woo-sash windows, clapboard exterior wood siding, and two paneled side lights flanking the period Victorian front entry door. The front yard is landscaped with dense shrubs and trees, including arnamentals, and a wire fence. To the right of the house is a wood-frame, gable single-car garage. The home was owned for 30 years by Richard and Annie Polkinghorn. Richard Polkinghorn was a native of Truro, England.
