The Union, of yesterday, published come three and @ balf colamos of Eastern news, received by Pony, but with the exeeption of the reported movements in Missouri, aod on the Potomac, the intelligence is not of special interest. Gen. Fremont arrived at Jefferson City, with bis staff, aod among the officers in bis command were Generals Hooter and Sigel San Francisco, Oct. 10tb. A private letter bas been received by the Pony, stating thata Colonel's commission bas been tent on to Mr. Scaouell, Chief Engineer of the S. F. Fire Department. The appoiosment was made ot the instance of Senators Latham and McDougall. Dave says be will go to the wars if he gets it, Nevana, City, October 8, 1861.
