Grass Valley Orphan Asylum, Grass Valley, Calif,, Nev. Co. Consists of St. Patrick's for boys and St. Vincent's for girls; these institutions are about 10 minutes' walk apart, Admits orphans, half-orphans, neglected, or destitute children between Iwo years and sixteen years old upon application of parents or guardians or upon juvenile court commitment. All children examined by our physician--Dr, Jones, Retains a physician on call and provides for dental care of children, Provides academic and religious instrutionsalso gives commercial course, including stenography, typing, ann bookkeeping. The boys help in the boys’ institution with the housework, The girls get experience in sewing, cooking and laudry work, Capacity 90 boys and 90 girls. Under auspices of Roman Catholic Sisters of Mercy who also maintain p a girls' boarding and day school. The giris of St. Vincents attend the same school as the boarders. The boys have their school at St. Patrick's, Grass Valley Orphanage.
