M. a party of robbers entered the Store of Mr. . John Wise at Pleasant Valley, oo Bear river presented their pistols and demanded money and valuables. Wise was behind the counter at the time and another was in the adjoining room with his wife. The robbers soon had it their own way and bonnd the men. They then preceeded to search the premises. The following list of articles taken has been foraished us by Constable Asher who gave us an account of the affair : One large gold specimen weighing 334 oz forty small specimens weighing from $1 to $5 each ; One plain gold ring weighing $13: three plain geid riogs, value not known ; one gold ring with white quartz set ; another gold ving, shield; one gold breast pin, quartz set blacked in the ceater ; one gold specimen worth $4 ; two gold studs with square . chain fastening them together ; two buckskin purses in one 62 02, mostly Bear River dust ; three small boxes of dust containing altogether 36.0z of Bear River dost; a gold wateh with lomg lady’s guard chaip valued at $200: a small lady's watch with siiver chain worth $75 ; a lot of gold coin, $100 in twenties, and $175 ip tives; Ofty-two pieces of forign silver coin ; a small tive shooting Colt. The value of all the articles taken is estimated at over $4,500. .
