ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION of the HOBART ESTATE COMPANY KUOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESETS: Thet we, the undersigned, a majority of whom are citizens and residents of the State of California, have this day voluntarily associated ourselves together,for the purpose of forming a corporation under the laws of the State of California, AND WE HEREBY CERTITY: First: That the name of said corporation shall be HOBART ESTATE COMPATY. Second: That the purposes for which it is formed are: 1. fo purchase, own, hold, improve, sell, lease and deal in real property of every description; to buy, sell, om, hold and deal in personal property of all kinds; Be fo purchase, owm, sell and deal in shares of stock, bonds and obligations of public and private corporations; Se Lo own, purchase, sell and operate saw-mills and planing-mills, and to carry on and conduct the lumber business in all its branches; 4. fo lend money; 5. To buy, sell and deal in merchandise of all kinds. ay 6. fo acquire by appropriation, purchase and use, water and water rights, and to.sell and lease water for domestic, nanufeacturing, mining, irrigation and other purposes: 7. fo generate, sell and lease electricity and electric and water power; 8. fo charter, construct, own, lease and operate steam and other vessels; and 9. fo do and perform all other things necessary or incident to the purposes hereinabove ‘set forth.
