Photographs of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park reveal the majesty of its
towering redwoods, which provide a stark contrast with nearby land left barren by
loggers. ~_
State and federal officials have proposed expanding the park, but opposition is
erising from some local businessmen and county officials.

Also, they fear logging companies’ inability to use the land
parks may have a detrimental impact on the local economy.

park, which would encompass more land in the area.
