Since that time a large portion of the old graveyard has// been cleared and restored (middle picture) by Lyle White _ of Grass Valley, who has worked at the project on weekends and in his spare time. Besides clearing brush, White} has repaired markers and fences, erected crosses on unmarked graves, and placed placards on many of the plots giving the person's history and cause of death. Deaths range from unusual mining accidents to early day ep!demics, In the bottom picture, White is seen continuing with his clean-up work, attacking a large portion of the cemetery that remains uncleared.
