Mr. Granholm in front of his fireplace. Ke modeled in clay the Indian head, made a plaster cast from it and then cast the concrete head which is on the fireplace. The arrow-heads, framed and in designs, were all gathered in Nevada County. The mortars, pestles, and other objects around the fireplace were also found in this county. The skull on the mantle piece came from Tllinois, the gift of a friend. The open book made of concrete has the poem, "As I Trod Their Trails," inscribed on it. rad.
