David A. Daniel Die nf d~Augustus Daniel, 71, nafive of "Nevada City died yesterday morning at the Nevada County Hospital. We had been ill since December of last year. Rorn here on July 12, 1887, the deceased man attended’ local schools and was employed by the Idaho-Maryland Mines for 21 years as a shaft boss. He later worked for the North Star Mines but left i Hospital Riles in Charge . of Native Sons there to become machine operator in the laundry of the Nevada County Hospital where he worked! until his illness. His main hobby, was cabinet making, which he! earried on in his home shop. ; He was the devoted husband of filsie Daniel of 216 South Pine street, where the couple had lived fer many years, and father of Mis. Dearisteen Bray of Grass Yalley. There also ave numerous, gousins who survive Daniel. The Daniel coupe had celebrated their Eas wedding anniversary in > 1956-7"s." . Native of County, Dies at Vallejo Agnes Erb Devlin, born in Nevida County and da’ ghter of the late John Erb, wealthy early day hydraulic gold miner, died in her home in Vallejo Wednesday morning after a long illness. Mrs. Devlin was the widow of the late Frank R. Devlin, Superior Court judge and Republican leader. She is survived by three daughters, Miss Marion Devlin, society editor of the Vallejo Times-Herald family plot, Masonic Cemetery vices.
