Nevada Journal, Deev—-253-2853+ May 12, 1854: Gen Blase Evening Journal, Bisits Nevada. (01d type of humor) Fabulous Buncombe, U. States Stickupine Ala Baba and 37 other. A clothing merchant received an invoive of shirts from S.F. wrfapped in a paper, The Evening Journal, by which the pedple were informed of two things, that the Evening Journal existed; second, that General Blase was in this city. A committee of citizens set about doing honors to the distinguished stranger, inviting him to a public dinner..Papers finally refused to print any further rebuttals to avoid other inflicgions from Blase. Aug. 113: Ticket A.A.Sargent, District Attorney. Deer Creek Mining News Nov. 10: John Williams, Justice of Peace office in Simons Building, next door to Wells Fargo Co. Nov. 17: Williamson & Dawley bank. “Apr. 63 New brick building: We learn that Messrs. Hussey & Rogers, TAGS Herschman & Rosenheim & Co. intend to jointly erect a fine brick edifice on the ground covered by their present stores. A handsomer block couhd not be projected and the design reflects great credit upon the projectors and will go far to ensure the safety of the town from sweeping fires. Mr. Potter will erect one on his present stand, also M.H. Funston. and Miss Mary Miller. We believe Mr. Flurshultz also intends to build one next to his present store.
