Tues.-264H-Town of Vallecito destroyed by fire, Thurs. last, Dec. 21st.
Wm. Bausman, formerly editor of the Sacto Union, is now the new editor
of the "Times & Transcript" Sacto.
HAMILTON HALL-G. Hamilton is building a large 2-story frame Hall,
located 2 doors above our Office. The first floor will be rented for business,
the 2nd floor will be the Hall. (The Telegraph Office "our Office" was located
on North side of West Mein St., "opposite Church Street." ) (There was no North
Church St. until '55 or '56.--LLW)
/ Died-Jemes S. Carpenter, Esq., Dec. 16th, 1854, at Wisconsin Hill,
age 26, a lawyer, formerly of New York.
