NEW LODGE-The Masons and Odd Fellows of this place (Give) have purchased a Lot on Mill St., a short distance from Main, and are now preparing
the foundation for the erection of a 2-story Brick Bldg., the upper part of
which is to be fitted up in an elegant style for the use of the above named
Orders. The dimensions of the Lodge Room are to be 26 ft. wide, by 50 ft.
long, with two anterooms of 12 ft. each. The lower story is to be divided off
into stores, which will readily command a good rent. We are glad to see such
additions made to our town, especially by Orders whose durability has stood
the test of ages, and whose acts are themes of praise by old and young. Go
ahead, Gentlemen, without fear; Grass Valley will be a place as long as
Masonry and Odd Fellowship shall exist, which will be until the time when
the Bow of the Covenant is withdrawn from before the eyes of men.
