27th------DIED-Last Sunday, Nov. 25, 1855, Sarah Ellen, daughter of Mrs. Sarah
R. Purdy (who is the widow of the late Joseph Purdy.) The little
) girl, aged 4 yrs, 6 months, died of Dropsy.
LOLA MONTEZ-From the city papers of Sidney, Australia, according to
the Marysville "Inquirer", when a Sidney Constable waited on the celebrated
actress to serve an attachment for debt, Lola divested herself of every stitch
of clothing, and presehted herself to the astonished Constable, telling him
that if he wanted to take her body in that condition, he was welcome to do it.
