Nevada Journal, Sent. 20, 1851
Broad Street Houses Thankful to all our friends for their liberal
supnort, we intend still to make our HOUSE ag quiet home for all
who may favor us with their patronage. We charge $12 per week for
board and $8 per week forlodging. Our table: will be furnished with
tHe best the market affords. Good cooks and attentive waiters.

Adams & Co. shipped gold dust to Atlantic States and Europe.

Freeman & Co., foot of Main Street, bought our Bower & Co.
Davis and Hurst Exnresss Leaves every Monday morning for San Francisco
with letters, nackages and napers. A snecial messenger will leave to
connect with each mail steamer to the States. We connect with no mush—
room concern. Gold dust and all other vackages being forwarded through
the old established and undoubted house of Adams & Co. who do the
nrincipal exnress business to the Atlantic States. We will also sell
bibls of exchange on the vrincinal cities of the U.S. or furnish bills

Line of Coaches arrived Sent. 15, 1851: Stages ran tri-weekly to
Sacrmanto aid Marysville. After leaving the valley floor, strong wagons
were used for the mountain travel, but on the 15th the first coach was
brought in.
Nevada City Population: 12,000, swelling to 20,000 during the mining
season.
Wet Hill Diggings: Recently discovered. Four to five horse power
shafts. McCourtney & Myers Shaft has pipe clay, stuffed with gold.
$49.09 to a nan. hLivers, Klime & Co., $92.00 to a pan.
