Sept. 17: Lancaster succeeds Pearson & Healy ay National Exchange
Drs. Kilbourne & Kent are about to open a new Brug Store
in the new brick building of the later of the firm
two doors above C.B. Young's jewelry store,
Oct. 6, 1858: Ordinance 3 made it unlawful for any Chinese, male
or female to reside within the incorporate limits of the city
of Nevada. (Full account of ordinance in this issue. )
Militery and Sivie ball. The Nevada Rifles will celebrate the
coming anniversary of the Battle of Cherubusco with a ball at
the Court House on Friday, Aug. 20, 1858. List of Floor
Managers, and various committees are included, (A good list of
those who were prominent at that time.)

New Ditch Kagy & Co. running a branch ditch of the Green
Horn Creek 8 miles to run enough water to Buckeye Hill. The
people of that place are quite elated. (Is this You Bet?) Yes
New Brick, W.R.Coe is building a new brick to seve asa shop
to his boot and shoe store,
Rich Strike: The Eagle Co. on Bourbon Hill struck the lead on
Monday and found gravel worth $100 to the pan. There is.
likely to be difficulty between the Live Oak Co and Eagle in
consequence of a conflict of claims,
Husband Disowned: I hereby notify the world that I am no longer
the wife of James Tascoe and he is no longer a husband of mine.

Fireproof Brick: Preparations are being made to put up a D
fireproof brick in the forks of Main and Washington Sts, (Coyote 4
in front of Frisbie's old place. It is to be the same size
as the old building. (Is this Niles Realty now?)

about the county schools in the Oct. 22 issue, telling
about a school parade, examinations, exhibits and ball.
