HYDRAULIC MINING Item quoted from the PRESS lists ten residents of North San Juan who have made useful inventions for the hydraulic mining industry. Dec. 18, 1860 Long item from the Téanscript predicts the pending legal contest between agricultural and mining interests. The matters of taxation and titled are discussed to the exclusion or indifference to the problem of debris. Fee simple titles are demanded by miners. Transcript Nov. 28, 1860 An item from Columbia Times notes the superiority of galvanized pipe to convey water to mining claims over all other conduits.
