George B. Gaylor accomplice of John Marshall Truckee-Sierra Valley stage
robbery in Augst sentenced to 7 years in San Quentin. Touching letter from Dad
and Sister, his first transgression. His story: left Baltimore in 1882, worked way to
California, Truckee worked in mill, became acquainted with Marshall, who cunningly
led him to subordinate conscience. Judge Howe said as lenient as could be.
