OLYMPIA PARK TO BE SUMMER RESORT
GRASS VALLEY, Oct. 4.— Howard Brewer has purchased Olympia park from the Barons and
will trike charge of the well-known resort at once. He contemplates making a number of
improvements and turning the property into a first-class summer resort. The park is situated
midway between this city and Xevatla City and is a very popular place during the summer
months. Mr. Brewer intends to fit up the place with bungalows and tents so that it will be an
attractive summer camping ground as w’ell as a pleasure resort.

Howard F. Brewer [born Sacramento] and Miss Lottie Lee Polifka were married in San Francisco
last Saturday. The young couple will make their home at Olympia Park, a summer resort near
Grass Valley, the property of Mr. Brewer. Tho groom is very popular at Grass Valley and the
champion swimmer of America. The bride is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Polifka of Michigan Bluff, where she was born and reared, and where sl;o has many fnends.

GliASS VALLEYMay IS.—Had it not been for the discovery in the nick of time, a big Portion of
the daM at OlymPIA]Park would have been swept away. entailing heavy on the new proirietor.
Howard Brewer. The big lake was being filled at the time and had about its usual coifipiement of
water, when it was discovered that the dam was giving way.Brewer and his assistants worked
like beavers, filling .sack;: with dirt, which were dumped into theopening, and after several hours
of unremitting toil they had the break closed and the lam saved. The iake is now full of and with
a few warm day. at hand swimming will begin. Already a number of picnic parties have visiter!
