Aug 15, 1868— Married Lizzie Schumer at Nevada City. May 25, 1869—Son born at Nevada City. 1880—Lived with wife, 2 sons and 3 daughters at Nevada City. Manufactured cronk beer, wines and brandies. (View of his place facing p. 48 of 1880 TW History.) ROBERT W. SEIBERT (_—Came to Calif. Sept 30, 1853—Chosen delegate to Pacific Railroad convention at San Francisco. July 12, 1854—Delegate to Nevada County Democratic convention at Nevada City. ) (DEM) Mr. G. T. SELFRIDGE (1827-__) 1827—Born in Argyle, New York. —Farmed. 1852—Came to Yuba County, Calif. and mined at Strawberry Valley, Dad’s Gulch and other places in that county. 1862— Married Mrs. Harriet M. Crary (b. in New York; maiden name was Terry, she had married H. M. Crary in 1855 and he died in 1859). 1868 — Was a blacksmith at Smartsville in Yuba County. 1876—Moved to Hunt's Hill in Nevada County and was a blacksmith. 1880—Lived with wife at Hunt’s Hill and continued his trade. Mr.D.SELIM( —-_ ) —Born in London, England. —Attended school in Germany. 1872—Migrated to U.S. 1876—Came to Calif. and worked for the Oakland Times newspaper. 1880— Editor of the Nevada Herald at Nevada City, Nevada County. FRED SENNER( -_ ) 1850s— Came to Calif. June 3, 1907 —Attended old pioneers reunion at Grass Valley, Nevada County. JOSEPH SESSIONS( ) —Came to Calif. Nov 15, 1853—Judge at election of recorder for Mammoth Springs mining district on Bear River, Nevada County. CHARLES HENRY “HARRY” SEYMOUR ( -_) —Came to Calif. —Married Ann Elizabeth . Dec 1852—Senior deacon of Lodge 13 F&AM at Nevada City, Nevada County. June 24, 1853—Manager from Nevada City for the Grand Masonic ball held at Alta Saloon in Grass Valley. Dec 1853—Senior warden of Lodge 13. Jan 6, 1854— Member of Mount Summit Mining Co. on Manzanita Hill, Nevada City, along with the Maltman brothers and Patrick Henry. Feb 2, 1854— May have purchased California House at Rough 18 and Ready from A. Y. Owens. Aug 11, 1854—WM pro tem of Lodge 13. Nov 1, 1854—Charter officer Nevada Chapter 6 RAM. Feb 9, 1855—WM of E. K. Kane Lodge F&AM.
March 9, 1855—Had a billiard saloon on Commercial Street. July 6, 1855—Schell & Williamson took over his billiard saloon. Oct 23, 1855—He and wife won their suit against Henry V. Herbert for $1,200. Sheriff to sell property at Main and Church streets. Dec 7, 1855 — Wife, Ann Elizabeth, declared intention to carry on business in own right as trader in mining claims, operating mines, sale of real estate, loaning money, etc. Feb 4, 1856—Insolvency hearing in 14th district court. July 19, 1856—Lost $5,000 when his dwelling burned in the Nevada City fire. Dec 24, 1856—He, John Grove, A. D. Allen and three others owned the Nevada mine at Selby Hill, that produced gold worth $5,700 in one week. Aug 20, 1858— Walked through Live Oak tunnel underneath Sugar Loaf hill. Sept 1858— Assessed worth was $5,000. May 13, 1860—Subscribed $100 for military aid after Indian attack at Washoe mines. June 15, 1860—Left Nevada City to travel to East. Sept 1860—Sailed on Great Eastern for Europe. Feb 5, 1861—Returned to Nevada City; “couldn’t find a better place to live.” May 20, 1861—Reported to have been commissioned Capt. of Black Horse Hussars by Gov. John Downey.
