Lives of Nevada County Pioneers (version 2021) to U.S. as member of James H. Mapleson’s opera company. March 23, 1885— Appeared at San Francisco as Amina in La Sonnambula. Oct 1, 1885—Married Dr. Raymond Palmer in Paris. Nov 16, 1885— Returned to San Francisco, where her concerts were less popular than in March. Dec 3, 1885—Sang at Piper’s opera house in Virginia City. 1887—Daughter Mignon born in Paris. 1902— Appeared in Nevada City. May 27, 1909—Her daughter Mignon had made her singing debut at Rome in the role of Rosina in the Barber of Seville. Her stage name was “Mignon Nevada Gloria.” June 20, 1940—Died in Liverpool, England. Dr. WILLIAM WALLACE WIXOM (__—Came to Calif. May 3, 1854—Senior Warden Michigan City, Calif., Lodge 47 F&AM. April 13, 1864—Her hotel now had a rival establishment, and three “deadfalls” were in the town. July 21, 1864—Married “Judge” John Davis of the Forest House in Wilson. Aug 24, 1874—Husband, Judge Davis, died at home of her son, William P. Womack, in Dixon.. March 27 or April 3, 1880—Died at Wheatland, Yuba County. -1880)
