Theo. H. Wilhelm’s name was on the concrete in front of 77 Main St., where he built the building and ran the Empire Meat Market until he died in 1910. This is a new concrete sidewalk. The city made improvements along Main Street and tore out the old sidewalk. That concrete sidewalk also had Theo. H. Wilhelm’s name is inset in the concrete. When they put in the new sidewalk, they put his name back in front of his old store in the new concrete. These are my dad’s feet in this photo taken in 1999. 169
