Tyrrell was elected as the “Great Prophet.” IMPROVED RED MEN Nevada City Selected as the Place for Holding Next Great Council SACRAMENTO, Aig. ii—The Grea Council of the Improved Order of Red Men was concluded in the assembly chamber of the state capitol this afternoon, Nevada City was selected as the place for the next great cotncil, which will be held on the third Tuesday of August, 1904. Santa Cruz also asked for the next great council, but the inducements made by Nevada City were so tempting that the latter was selected. Great Representative E. Lestretto presented Great Prophet J. R. Terrell with a gold watch and chain in behalf of the great council. The great chiefs made. thelr long talks this afternoon just before the great council adjourned. The great sachem appointed the following: Great Sannap, P. F. Ledford; Great Mish ewa, P. 8S. Seymore; Great Guard the Wigwam, M. L. Wheeler; Great Guard of the Forest, 8. L. Richards. tee John R.
