Page two of David Binklemann’s will/transfer of the Grass Valley Brewery title to Sophia Binkelman upon his death. David Binklemann’s name is spelled with two “nuns” on this second page. It appears that David Binkelmann also owned the land where the original Western Hotel was located, which burned down in 1856. Later, the Sanborn Map dated 1898 showed this property as the Wisconsin Hotel. 39
