“A promising strike has recently been made just south of the French mill. The ledge is
about 18 inches thick, rich in sulphurets and exhibiting some free gold. It occurs just
between the slate and graite, and should consequently be a true and reliable vein. A
crushing will be got out as soon as possible the the proprietors look for a handsome
