Outcroppings of veins are numerous and it is generally believed that the wash from these orebodies yielded the phenomenal gold gravel of the North Bloofmield placers. On the Jenny Lind, MckKilliran, King Edward, Bunker Hill, Oriental, White Diamond and other claims indicatios are particularly promising. The development thus far consists merely of slight surface trenching, no attempt at shaft or adit work having been made. From the outcrops the quartz is said to be largely free milling, with values ranging from $5 to $50 per ton.” Mining & Scientific Press, pg. 303, 9-2-1911 Kinder & White’s Tail Sluice: “Statistics of Mines & Mining in the States and Territories West of the Rocky Mountains” by Rossiter W.
