WHEELER’S Amalgamating and Separating Pans T IS ACKNOWLEDGED BY ALL WHO HAVE EXAMINED THE rinciples and witnessed the operation of these lans, that they are decidedly superlor for triturating and amalgamating purposes to any other In use. The most important princlple eounected with the operation of these Pans Js the separatlon of the triturating proecss froin that of extracting the ainalgam from the sand. The chief canse ot joss of the precious inetal arises from the passIng off of the same in eoinbination with the quicksilver, during the peogess of trituratlon, and in cleaning up. By the Introductiou of the SO Pan to follow the triturating, this loss is entlrely avoided. In working these machines there is no appreciable loss of quicksilver, and hence none ot the precious metals. Where these Pans have been Introdneed and operated by the side of others on sands from the same yat, the Wheeler Pans have uniforinly gained a large percentage of metals, over its competitors, as well as a still larger percentaye In the amount of work performed. #These Pans muy be seen in dally operation at the Miners, Foundry, on First street, San Franciseo, where all Interested are inyited to call and examine tor themselves. 6-tf ZENAS WHEELER.
