Receipts nf treasure from the interinr have been light since Saturday bist, and amounted in the negregate to less than $900,000. Tullion is meeting with a fair degree of inquiry from dealers and others, and gold bars are selling at 840@850. Silver bars have nlso improved slightly, and may be quoted at $ y ccut. premium to 1 yp cent. discount. Legal Tender Notes nre in rather less request, nnd some $50,000 were dealt in at the Board, declining from 73fe to 72§e, nnd closing at 724¢ bid, 723 nsked. Our latest telegraphic advices from the East quote gold at 145 on the 7th inst. Dullness nnd depression have been characteristic features o the mining share market during the weck, but at the close, some little animation is observable. ‘Transacttons at the Board have been inconsiderable, nnd mainly eonfined to a few leading stocks, most of which are now lower than on Saturday last. Gould & Curry is in better favor, rising from $1,135 to $1,300 then selling at $1,310, nnd closing at $1,275 bid, $1,300 asked. The product of this mine in ore execeded 4,000 tons Inst month, a portion of which was reserved for future reduction. It has been the intention of the company, for some time past, to accumulate a Inrge reserve of ore and materinl, so that there might be no months. An early resumption of dividends is anticipated. Alpha hns met with no sale this week, butis stronger, at $1,920 bid, $2,000 asked. A recent clean-up at the eompany’s new mill realized some $16,000, being the product of nbout 350 tons of ore. An average of 80 tons of ore are now daily hoisted to the surface from the different levels. Yellow Jacket opened at $1,430, receded to $1,420, rose to $1,475, fell to $1,450, rallied to $1,460, then sold at $1,440, and was dealt in yesterday nt $1,445/@1,450. During the week ending Angust 27th, 1,479 tons of ore were extracted from the mine, and 963 tons were worked, yielding $28,717. The total receipts of bullion for the month of August amounted to $167,508.62, and the entire indebtedness of the company on the Ist inst. was $321,554.48, as against $340,000 on the 5tb of the previous month. Some extraordinary disbursements were made last month for improvements in the south shaft and to the Morgan mill, amounting in all to $16,795 ; otherwise the debt would have been more con siderably reduced. The Princess shaft and machinery are now in working order, and a station has been opened in the 430-feet level. In the air-shaft drift from this point a pay lode 28 feet wide has been disclosed. interruption to active operations at the mill during the winter Savnge is in rather less request, and 23 feet were sold, declining from $1,300 to $1,220, and closing at $1,240 bid. Receipts of bullion from this mine for the past month nmounted to some $80,060, aud the present indebtedness of the company exeeeds $145,000. The west body of ore, as met with in the first, second nnd third levels, continnes to improve, nnd the lower level is alse thnuglit to promise well. Crown Point was dealt in to the extent of 50 fvet, receding from $1,175 to $1,115, rallying to $1,140, dropping to $1,110, and sclliug yesterday nt $1,100@1,121. Both of the company’s mills nre now ruuning up to their full capacity upon ore taken from the upper levels. Nothing reported this week from the lower drift. Belcher has been netive, and wns steadily maintained, within a rauge of $870/@9224, closing at S915 bid. Tlale & Norcross lias revived a little, aud some 35 feet changed hands, advnneing fron $480 to $540, aud selling yesterday at $540:0537. It is suid that more flattering indications have been found this weck. An assessment of $40 per foot was levied on the 5th inst. making in all thus far $725 per foot. Ophir has obtained more favor, steadily rising from $3280 to $340, and selling at the close at $360. Some 50 feet were sold at these rates. Shipment of bullion was received this week amounting to $19,000, and a promising body of ore is reported to have been fonnd in the old works. Chollar fell from $475 to $4874, and sold yesterday at $4424 @450, some 50 feet in all changing hands. Potosi las been more active, and 100 feet were dealt in, declining from $440 to $400, and closing at $1124@415. Reccipts of bullion from these two claims during the month of August amounted to some $60,000, being the product of about 1,500 tons of ore. Empire Mill and Mining Company fell from $390 to $380, at whieh rates 25 shares were sold. ‘There will be no dividend for the month of August. Imperial continues one of the strongest stocks on the list, and some 600 shares were dealt in, advancing from $252 to $262, and selling yesterday at $265@2674. ‘The receipts of bullion from the Gold Hill and Roek Point mills, during the past month, exceeded $136,000. After a receut disbursement of some $30,000 for winter supplies, and the payment of a dividend to-day of $10 per share, a large surplus will remain in tbe treasury of the company. A reserve of some 1,500 tons of ore bas also been aecumulated, and it is proposed to inerease this amount very considerably. The reduction capacity of the two mills will be increascd to 2,700 tons this month. The lower drift, now 130 feet distant from the shaft, i is still in good ore. Uncle Sam is in less request, and declining from $190 to "$160 per shnre, rallying to $166, and selling yesterday at $168@170. Confidence fell from $130 to $121, and closes at $121 bid. Bullion met with a serious decline, dropping from $160 to $130, rising to $137, and selling yesterday at $132/@135. Daney rose from $42 to $33, steadily declined to $25, and changed hnnds at the close at $39@40 Sierra Nevada hns been largely dealt in, within a range of $18@20, closing at $21. Wide West was sold at $8@84; Kentuck at $75, aud North American at $24. . The product of this mine in ore execeded 4,000 tons Inst month, a portion of which was reserved for future reduction. It has been the intention of the company, for some time past, to accumulate a Inrge reserve of ore and materinl, so that there might be no months. An early resumption of dividends is anticipated. Alpha hns met with no sale this week, butis stronger, at $1,920 bid, $2,000 asked. A recent clean-up at the eompany’s new mill realized some $16,000, being the product of nbout 350 tons of ore. An average of 80 tons of ore are now daily hoisted to the surface from the different levels. Yellow Jacket opened at $1,430, receded to $1,420, rose to $1,475, fell to $1,450, rallied to $1,460, then sold at $1,440, and was dealt in yesterday nt $1,445/@1,450. During the week ending Angust 27th, 1,479 tons of ore were extracted from the mine, and 963 tons were worked, yielding $28,717. The total receipts of bullion for the month of August amounted to $167,508.62, and the entire indebtedness of the company on the Ist inst. was $321,554.48, as against $340,000 on the 5tb of the previous month. Some extraordinary disbursements were made last month for improvements in the south shaft and to the Morgan mill, amounting in all to $16,795 ; otherwise the debt would have been more con siderably reduced. The Princess shaft and machinery are now in working order, and a station has been opened in the 430-feet level. In the air-shaft drift from this point a pay lode 28 feet wide has been disclosed. interruption to active operations at the mill during the winter Savnge is in rather less request, and 23 feet were sold, declining from $1,300 to $1,220, and closing at $1,240 bid. Receipts of bullion from this mine for the past month nmounted to some $80,060, aud the present indebtedness of the company exeeeds $145,000. The west body of ore, as met with in the first, second nnd third levels, continnes to improve, nnd the lower level is alse thnuglit to promise well. Crown Point was dealt in to the extent of 50 fvet, receding from $1,175 to $1,115, rallying to $1,140, dropping to $1,110, and sclliug yesterday nt $1,100@1,121. Both of the company’s mills nre now ruuning up to their full capacity upon ore taken from the upper levels. Nothing reported this week from the lower drift. Belcher has been netive, and wns steadily maintained, within a rauge of $870/@9224, closing at S915 bid. Tlale & Norcross lias revived a little, aud some 35 feet changed hands, advnneing fron $480 to $540, aud selling yesterday at $540:0537. It is suid that more flattering indications have been found this weck. An assessment of $40 per foot was levied on the 5th inst. making in all thus far $725 per foot. Ophir has obtained more favor, steadily rising from $3280 to $340, and selling at the close at $360. Some 50 feet were sold at these rates. Shipment of bullion was received this week amounting to $19,000, and a promising body of ore is reported to have been fonnd in the old works. Chollar fell from $475 to $4874, and sold yesterday at $4424 @450, some 50 feet in all changing hands. Potosi las been more active, and 100 feet were dealt in, declining from $440 to $400, and closing at $1124@415. Reccipts of bullion from these two claims during the month of August amounted to some $60,000, being the product of about 1,500 tons of ore. Empire Mill and Mining Company fell from $390 to $380, at whieh rates 25 shares were sold. ‘There will be no dividend for the month of August. Imperial continues one of the strongest stocks on the list, and some 600 shares were dealt in, advancing from $252 to $262, and selling yesterday at $265@2674. ‘The receipts of bullion from the Gold Hill and Roek Point mills, during the past month, exceeded $136,000. After a receut disbursement of some $30,000 for winter supplies, and the payment of a dividend to-day of $10 per share, a large surplus will remain in tbe treasury of the company. A reserve of some 1,500 tons of ore bas also been aecumulated, and it is proposed to inerease this amount very considerably. The reduction capacity of the two mills will be increascd to 2,700 tons this month. The lower drift, now 130 feet distant from the shaft, i is still in good ore. Uncle Sam is in less request, and declining from $190 to "$160 per shnre, rallying to $166, and selling yesterday at $168@170. Confidence fell from $130 to $121, and closes at $121 bid. Bullion met with a serious decline, dropping from $160 to $130, rising to $137, and selling yesterday at $132/@135. Daney rose from $42 to $33, steadily declined to $25, and changed hnnds at the close at $39@40 Sierra Nevada hns been largely dealt in, within a range of $18@20, closing at $21. Wide West was sold at $8@84; Kentuck at $75, aud North American at $24. .
