The Wining and Seiewtific Press,
ee — — 4
— —
From Anizona.—The Marysville Appeal
has seen a letter of late datefrom Prescott,
Arizona, in which the writer says that any
one who has the means to take a mill to that
place can ootain nny terms he may desire, apd
op the best leads in the country. The writer
is well assured that they have rich mipes there.
All that is required is a little capital ip mills,
ete., to develop them. There are two mills
ronping et Wickenburg crushing rock from the
“Vnlture.” he first clean-up was made by
Tyson & Co., a few weeks since, from a run of
thirty tons, when they got $2,700. Chase's
mill has not made a clean-up yet. Bowers &
Co., havea little two stamp mill, crushing rock
from the “ Occidental,” op Lyon’s creek, about
twelve miles from Prescott, and are doing
well. Things are looking np considerably at
present, and the Arizonians begin to think
there isa better day near at hand for that
copntry. The Indian difficulties are the chief
obstacle to progress and success, apd wher
they are to cease is still a problem.
