38 The Mining and Scientific Press, aod apt ’ City Stock Reports--San Franciser Stock ad Exchange Board. From the “ Weekly Stock Circular” of the Associated Brokera. San Francisco, Saturpay Monrnino, July 22d, 1865. The money market continues to be well supplied with capital and rates are easy. Accommodations in hank are readily obtaiued at 14@134 # cent. per month, and upon the street negotiations are made at 114@2!4 GP cent. per month, aceording to circumstances. At the present moment we have the prospect of an easy money market throughout the Summer and Fall. Reeeipts of treasure from the intcrior, since Saturday last, amounted to $950,000, making on aggregate of $3,150,000 thus far the current month. : Sales of gold bars were made for the Panama steamer at 820@830, oud silver ruled at nbout par for round pircels. The total coinage of the U.S. Braneh Mint, in this city, during the past fiscal year (ending June 30th) amounted to $19,000,000; of which sum $18,500,000 was in double eagles. ‘fhe total coinage of gold and silver at that estahlishment during the previous fiseal year, reached an aggregate of $19,400,000. Legal Tender notes have heen dull ond inactive this week and small sales were made at 735¢@733¢, closing at 7315 bid, 7334 asked. Our latest telegraphic advices from the Kast quote gold at about 14314 ou the 18th inst. ’ 3¥o important changes have taken plnce in the share market, and some leading stocks nre tolerably well maintained. A number of shares of less intrinsic value have revived a little, and some transactions were made at a slight improvement ever former quotations. There is, however, Dot much dispositiou to invest in these fancies as yet. Gould & Curry has met with no sales, but is freely held at ahout $1,760. The drift now 300 feet distant from the D street shaft, at a depth of 200 feet helow the lower tunnei, has penetrated what is supposed to be the clay seam of the ledge, but no tangible evidence of the existence of a pay-vein at this point has been found thus far. ‘The deliveries of ore from the upper levels are averaging ahout 90 tons per day, and will amount to some 2.800 tons for the current month. Re ceipts of hullion from this mine, last month, nmounted to $168,000, hut a lorger yield is anticipated forthe month of Jnly. The dividend is likely to he the same, however—$50 per foot. Alpha continues apathetic, but strongly held. Small sales were tmade at $1,460, and}$1,500, closing at $1,470 hid. Some good ore is now being taken from the lower and upper levels of this wine. Savage is in less favor, declinicg from $1,415 to $1,340, then selling at $1,310, and closiug at $1,325. The product of the mine is now averaging ahont 65 tons per day, hut the ore is of poor qnality. From the annual report of the officers of this company, made to the stockholders yesterday, we glean the following items: During the past year, ending July 1st, the total product of the mine amonnted to 51,680 tons, 1,941 tons of which was first, clnss ore, 49,303 tons second class, and 199 tons third class. The totnl yield of this ore in bullion (exclusive of some small shipments to Europe) amounted in the aggregate to $2,256,285. The reduction of all the ore has cost $1,115,000, and $520,000 were dishursed in dividends. 'Vhe expense of reducing first class ore was $47.46, and second class $20.76—au average of $21.76 per ton. The yield of first class ore amounted to $119.92 ; second class $41, and third class $14.94—an average product of $43.87 per ton. ‘The eee of mining, and other operations incident thereto, have averaged $10.22 per ton for all the ore raised to the snrface. Yellow Jacket was dealt in to the extent of 163 feet, advancing from $1,090 to $1,200, receding to $1,090 again, then selling at $1,015, and closing at $1,040. ‘Ihe company are now hoisting about 100 tong of ore per day, the quality of which is suid to shuw some improvetueut. Grown Point has been in better favor, and 103 feet were sold, advnneing front $810 to $920, receding to $910, and changing hands yesterday at $900@970. A new deposit’of good ore has been found in sinking from the 230-feet level. A late crushing of ore yielded some $58 per ton. Belclier is in fair request and well waintained. Some 50 feet were sold, receding from $840 to $810, rallying to $850 and closing at $825 (@830. ‘Vhere is no new developmentiu thismine. Male & Norcross fell from $58234 to $565, and sold yesterday at $560@565. Drifting has re-eommeuced toward the east. Ophir rose from $480 to 3540, then sold at $492@450, some 37 feet in all changiug hands. he second trial of the Burning Moseow os. this company, has reSulted, as hefore, in a disagreemeut of the jury. ‘Lhe yield of the Ophir mine for the first half of this month nmounted to 512 tons of ore, averaging $50@75 per ton. Receipts of bullion thus far the current month have been about $37,000. Drifting contin ues east and south from the Mextcan shaft. Chollar dropped from $400 to $380, advanced to $412, nnd sold yesterday at $415@425, some 145 feet chunging hauds. Potosi fell frota $390 to $375, rose to $405, and closed not $400@,4121¢ within which rauge 271 feet were sold. Tile joiut product of these two mines now aniounts to some 41) tons per day. ‘The uew cross-cut froin the fifth station of the Potosi penetrated a small vein of good ore last week, and a drift will now be continued to the fifth level of the North Chollar mine. There is no change iu any other portion of either mine. Uncle Sam has been active, and nearly 500 shares were dealt in, opening at $335, declining to $295, rallyiug to $325, dropping to $3u2 and selling yesterday at $295@29u. Overman fell to $29214, rose to $310, receded to $300, and closed at ahout $290 asked. A new body of good ore hus heen disclosed in the east cross-cut of the third level near the north line of this mine. The company are now hoisting considerahle ore to the surface, nod propose to commence erushiug at onceImperial receded from $237 to $233, rose to $240, declined to $218, thén sold at $210, seller 30, and closed yesterday nt $229@227. Active operations in this mine have heen suspended for a few dsys in order to perfect some improvements to the main shaft; meanwltile a snffieient reserve of ore gives full employment to hoth mills. Uhe second “clean up” this month is snid to have heen favorable, realizing some $20,000, and the entire receipts of hullion for July, from the company’s two milla, are likely to execed $70,000, exclusive of some $40,000 worth of first-class ore now being trented at Dall’s mill. The ordi nary expenses for the current month will amount to ahout $35.000. Bullion has heeu dull and inactive at $190@18214, closing at $185. North Ameriean fell from $40 to $3714, rose to $51, huyer 30, receded to $42, and closed at $41. Burning Moscow fell from $31 to $26, rallied to $284, fell to $25, and sold yesterday at$29. Sierra Nevada rose to $18, fell to $14,nnd closed at $15 asked. Lindy Bryan rose from $634 to $814, fell to $614, and sold at the close at $614. Daney was sold at $13; De Soto at $8@10; Baltic at $17@13, and Golden Rule nt $714@8.
