A Nice Tuine.—The Mariposa Gazette says
that Mr. Moore, of Idaho City, formerly of
Mariposa, has disposed of a portion of his interest in a qnartz vein in that Territory for the
pice little sum of $800,000. The “ interest ”
spoken of we suppose to be arhalf interest in
the farfous “ Morning Star Ledge.”
Om Rerinery in Los Ancztes County.—
The citizens of Los Angeles, according to the
‘News, are now burning oil from the refinery of
the Philadelphia Oil Company, on the Camulas
Rancho. The Company is prepared to furnish
from their well and refinery all that may be
needed to supply the demand.
Hanscom Copper Mixe.—The owners of this
mine seem determined to improve the fine
prospects they have, for developing, in Del
Norte connty, one of the richest copper lodes
on this coast. A new election of olficers has
‘taken place, which will be reported in our list
in the first issue of next month.
