By authority of the Secretary of the Treasury, the undersigned iias assuincd the General Subscription Agency
for the sale of United States Treasury Notes, bearing seven
and tbree-teuths per cent. Interest perannum, known asthe
SEVEN-THIRTY LOAN.
These Notcs are Issued under date Junc 15th, 1865, and are
payable three ycars from that time in currency, or are
eonvertible, at the option of titc holder, into
U. S. 5-20 Six Per Cent.
GOLD BEARING BONDS.
These Bonds arc now worth a premlum of ninc per cent.
including gold interest froin November, which makes the
actual profit ou the 7-30 loan, at current rates, Inelnding interest, about ten per ccut. per annum, besidcs its EXEMPTION
FROM STATE AND MUNICIPAL TAXATION, WHICH ADDS FROM ONK
TO THEEE PER CKNT. MORK, according to the rate levied on
other property. The Interest is payable In currency, semlannually, by corpons attached to cach note, which may
be cut off and soid to any bank or banker.

THE GREAT POPULAR LOAN OF THE PEOPLE.
Less than $300.000,000 of the loan authorized by the last
Gongress is now on the market.
This amount, at the ratc at whieh it is being absorbed,
will ail be subscrived for within four months, when the
notes wlil undoubtedly command a premium, as has unlformly been tho ease on closing the subscriptions‘to other
Loaps.
In order thateltizens of every town and scction of the
country may be afforded facilities for taking the Loan, the
National Bank, State Banks, and Private Bankers tiiroughout the country bave generally agreed to receive subscriptions at par. Subscribers will sclect their own agents, in
whom they have confidence, atid who only are to be responsible for tite delivery of the notcs for which they reeeive orders.
