By anthorlty of the Seeretary ef the Treasury, the understgned has assuned the General Subscription Ageacy
for the sale of United States Treasnry Netes, benring seven
and three-tenths per cent. Interest per annum, known asthe
SEVEN-THIRTY LOAN.
These Notes are Issued under date June 15th, 1865, and are
payable three years from that time in currency, or are
eonvertibla, at the option of tha holder, into
U. S. 5-20 Six Per Cent.
GOLD BEARING BONDS.
These Bonds are now worth a premlum of nine per cent.
Ineluding gold interest from November, whieh makes the
actual profit on the 7-20 loan, at earrentrates, Including interest, about ien percent, peranuum, besides Its EXEMPTION
FNOM STATE AND MUNICIPAL TAXATION, WHICH 4008 FROM ONE
TO THEER PEN CENT. NORE, according to the rate levied on
other property. The interest is payable in curreney, semiannually, by coupons attached to each note, which may
be cut off and sold to any bank or banker.

One cent per day on a $50 note,
Two ents per day ou a $100 note,
Ten cogts per day on a $500 note,
Twenty cents per day on a $1,000 nota,
@ne dollar per day on a $5,000 note.
Notes of all the denominations named wlli ba promptly
furnished upon receipt of subscription. Thisis

now offered by the Goverument, and It Is confidently expected that its superler advantages will make it
THE GREAT POPULAR LOAN OF THE PEOPLE.
Less than $300,000,000 of the loan author)zed by the last
Congress is now on the markct.
This amount, attha rate at whlch It is belng absorbed,
will all be subseribed for within four months, when the
notes will undoabtedly command a premium, as has unlformly been the ease on clesing the subscriptions to other
‘Loans.
In order that cltizens of every town and sectlon of the
country may be afforded facllitles for taking the Loan, the
Natlonal Bank, State Banks, nnd Private Bankers throughout the country have generally agreed to reeelye subseriptlons at par. Subserlbers will select their own ngents, In
whom they have confidence, and who only are to be reaponsible for the.dellvery of the notes for which they recelve orders.
